The instructor completely modeled the class specifically for me and I learned exactly what I wanted to learn. I will come back for more lessons. The sign up was a bit confusing as it was not clear that what you were signing up for is a 1 hour personal class. So you must call after signing up and set up a session.

Well, don’t like to give bad reviews, let’s say it was ok. Teacher was looking in a book to draw the pattern in every steps , and also only the front was made, not the back, one hour is definitely not enough for this class. Teacher was very nice though.

I had a great experience with Pattern Making for Beginners (Private). My teacher was clearly quite knowledgable and communicated the basics I needed to know in a way that was accessible and fun. There is nothing like getting one on one instruction and working fully hands on. This class gave me the confidence to create my own patterns that are appropriate for my skill level. My teacher was kind and patient and I highly recommend taking such a class. It is also nice to know such private classes are available whenever I may hit a stumbling block or need a refresher. Excellent experience all around!

Excellent! I got the exact info I was looking for in this one hour private session. The instructor was thorough and helpful, while also a wealth of information. Couldn’t be better, although maybe I should have booked 2 hours because the time flew.

Question from SABRINA C.
Is there any way I can book the class to make a pattern for a pair of flat-front (with darts), invisible zip, no pocket shorts? If so, how many sessions/hours would I need?
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Sabrina! Yes, you can do that! A 3-hour private lesson would be great for this so you can create that pattern and make a muslin to check fit.
