Teaches at General Assembly

RILEY DALLAS
Riley is a software engineer in Austin, TX. He graduated with a degree in Marketing from Texas A&M University, which led to a job as a roofer. He quickly realized he needed a marketable skill and started selling websites to small businesses while simultaneously learning how to code. In 2008, he learned Ruby on Rails in order to turn his idea for a web app into a reality. ChubbyGrub was the result, and has been featured on LifeHacker, The Consumerist, and CNBC.com. Recently he made the transition to Data Science, finishing in the top 13% of the 2017 March Madness Kaggle Competition.

In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Riley has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.

MATT BREMS

Matt currently is a global instructor for GA's Data Science Immersive program across the United States. Matt is a recovering politico, having worked as a data scientist for a political consulting firm through the 2016 election. Prior to his work in politics, he earned his Master's degree in statistics from The Ohio State University and his undergraduate degree at Franklin College in Indiana. Matt is passionate about putting the revolutionary power of machine learning into the hands of as many people as possible. When he's not teaching, he's volunteering with Statistics Without Borders, thinking about how to be a better teacher, falling asleep to Netflix, and/or cuddling with his pug.

In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Matt has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program. Matt serves as the chair of GA's Product Advisory Board for data science.

ADAM JONES

Adam is a Data Scientist at Critical Juncture where he has focused on implementing machine learning tools to increase the efficiency of software for healthcare and government. These projects include a Bayesian medical record linkage system providing clinical performance metrics regarding maternal mortality, and a convolutional neural network that classifies images from the digital archives of the Federal Register. Prior to that he was a researcher in Neurosurgery at the University of Iowa, where he first started using Python intensively to "morph" face/voice stimuli for neurophysiological studies. Adam received his PhD in Neuroscience studying face processing in macaques at the National Institutes of Health.

In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Adam has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.
