Discover the power of the pen in this specialized illustration course where students learn the intricate and precise techniques required to master this classic medium. Through carefully designed projects in Linda's comprehensive curriculum, students develop skills in rendering fine details, creating rich textures, expressing subtle shading and tonal values, and effectively employing positive and negative space in their compositions. The course also covers important information about pen and paper selection to help students choose quality materials. This foundational course is ideal for detail-oriented artists and provides essential skills for anyone considering a career in illustration, fine art, cartoons, graphic novels, commercial art, book illustration, or storyboard creation.
Upon completing this course, students will have developed a portfolio of finished black and white artworks of which they can be proud, and will receive a formal certificate of completion recognizing their achievement and progress.
