You will develop advanced picture editing techniques, learn efficient preparation for multi-camera editing, and master working with graphics and mattes within the Media Composer environment.
The curriculum also covers compositing using 3D Warp effects, color correction fundamentals, and an extensive exploration of Media Composer's comprehensive audio tools and effects capabilities. You will work with professional media and projects designed for flexible self-paced learning or structured instruction with an Avid Certified Instructor. As an official component of the Avid Learning Series for Media Composer, Media Composer Professional Editing I and its companion course, Media Composer Professional Editing II, provide the training required to earn the Avid Certified Professional: Media Composer credential through an authorized Avid Learning Partner.

Prerequisites:
- Successful completion of MC101 Media Composer Fundamentals I and MC110 Media Composer Fundamentals II, or equivalent hands-on experience with a minimum of 12 months of full-time professional editing on Media Composer
- A professional background as an editor, assistant editor, director, or producer is strongly recommended
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
