Description
Fleur Elise Bkln is a new Floral Design company started by Elise Bernhardt. With a decades-long background in dance and the performing arts, especially in site- specific performance, Bernhardt has studied floral arrangement at the Flower School, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and at the Sogetsu Ikebana school in Tokyo. She has created arrangements for numerous events- weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, galas and for individuals.
Fleur Elise Bkln arrangements are bespoke, completely individualized floral designs. Bernhardt starts with the container, what is available at the 28th street Flower Market - the shape, weight, textures and colors of the flora, and the environment in which the design will be seen, to create a completely "in situ" arrangement.

What a Wonderful course! Elise teaches so much in an hour and 1/2....from care of flowers to maximixe "shelf life", use of tools, flower characteristics, but best of all step by step encouragement as we built our arrangements... There was personalized instruction with lots of positive reinforcement so I was willing to try things that were out of my boring comfort zone. I feel much more confident playing with flowers now. Thanks Elise-- I've just signed up for another of your classes. -
