Class Description

Description

Explore the full spectrum of artistic expression, from realistic representation to completely non-objective abstraction and everything between.

This course builds substantially upon competencies developed in our foundational painting course. Student artists will advance their technical abilities by exploring sophisticated color relationships and compositional strategies using acrylic paints, while simultaneously developing more advanced painting methodologies and approaches.

Each participating artist will focus on creating one to two complete works throughout the five-week course duration. This course design allows repetition and deepening of skills; students can enroll up to three separate times since approximately fifteen distinct lessons are available for this skill level.

Completing all three sessions of the Intermediate level will sufficiently prepare students for our specialized study options, advanced technique courses, individual mentorship opportunities, and our Professional Development Programs. You may take the three Intermediate sessions in any sequence, allowing you to begin with whichever session works best for your schedule.

Enrollment Requirement: Completion of the Acrylic Painter course is required.
