Description

This introductory course develops fundamental drawing and painting competencies, covering design fundamentals, compositional approaches, color science, and visual perspective principles. Through guided instruction combined with self-directed creative exploration, you will strengthen artistic capabilities and cultivate a deeper creative awareness.

The Art Workshop provides all necessary art materials; you are welcome to bring your own supplies if preferred.

Refund Policy

No refunds. The student must cancel or reschedule 4 business days before the class registered for and only one cancellation is allowed. No exceptions.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

  • Learning Art through Creating Art

    Rafael's class is such a welcoming and comfortable space. The entire 2-and-a-half-hour experience immerses you in art (figuratively but also literally -- no matter where your eye lands, you'll be looking at an artwork!). His Thursday class has been a sanctuary amidst the city chaos, and I walk out feeling calm and mentally-reset every time. There is a communal feel, as well: you're able to connect with other artists and watch their work evolve, even within the span of a single class, and it's inspiring. Thank you, Rafael. I look forward to signing up for another class very soon!

    I really enjoyed this 3 part series class. This is the first art class that i took as an adult and Rafael made the process very accessible and inspiring. I love that he provides all supplies so you don't need to buy anything in advance. Also new students come in every week and there are students there who have been working for longer which allowed me to see not just my progression but those of other students as well. I really learned how to see in this class and got much better at drawing than when I first began. Would recommend!
