Given to my wife and I for Xmas by our son. I thought that was going to be a boring day, but to my surprise it was fun and the time passed faster than I expected.

This class was sooo fun! I tried for an entire semester in high school to throw ONE pot and failed! In this 2-hour class I threw FOUR pots, each one easier and better than the last! Cory is a great teacher, helped us all understand the process and technique and he was very encouraging with giving everyone tips and reminders on the initial instruction. I got this as a Christmas gift to do with my sister and we both loved it so much we signed up for an 8 week class!

We had an incredible time! The first 15 minutes of the class was dedicated to showing us the different types of cup and bowl shapes that we would try making. The instruction was very useful for a start, but the instructor also took the time to come around multiple times to help people with their pieces. As a bonus, if you weren’t super happy with your piece you could ask the instructor to fix it up a bit for you! We got unlimited amounts of clay to work with and they covered the first piece for firing and glazing. Additional pieces were $10 each. The class was perfect and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try out wheel throwing in a welcoming environment!

Overall, the class itself was great. Our instructor (Dominic) is extremely experienced, explained everything really well, and made the class fun. The only suggestion I would have is either have 2 instructors for each class or have less people per class. There was a lot of waiting around, since our instructor had to go around to every student after each student completed their pottery. (each student made 2-3 pieces) With less people or another instructor, you'll have the time to practice techniques. Definitely not the instructor's fault, something management should to consider.
