Class Description

Description

In this performance-based class, students are guided through the rehearsal process from page to stage. The focus is on applying The Barrow Group tools in a production setting while developing an understanding of the rehearsal process, ensemble collaboration, and an actors responsibility to the story, fellow artists, and audience.

Throughout the course, students will rehearse and perform a one-act play under the direction of the instructor. Actors are expected to spend time outside of class preparing lines and completing rehearsal assignments. The class culminates in a public performance in The Barrow Group Studio Theatre, providing students with the opportunity to put their training into practice before a live audience.

Please Note: Additional technical rehearsal and performance hours are required.

Prerequisite: Beginner Acting Class III
