Lawrence Au is a classically trained industrial designer who was educated at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn NY and College for Creative Studies, Detroit MI. He specializes in transportation design, research & development and production & manufacturing. In addition to his client list of OEM manufacturers, professional motorcycle race teams and well known custom builders, he is a co-founder of New York’s first electric motorcycle company, Brooklyn Motorized. When not working with clients, he manages a co-operative motorcycle garage in Gowanus, Brooklyn and teaches in the Industrial Design Department at Pratt Institute. Lawrence prides himself on sitting on the fine line of being the most engineering focused designer and the most design oriented engineer.
