Jennifer Florez

Teaches at 92nd Street Y

Originally from Texas, Jennifer Florez has taught music in grades K-8 for the past ten years in public and private schools. Additionally, she taught Early Childhood music through the University of North Texas for two years while pursuing her Masters of Music Education degree. A classical pianist, Jennifer also performs as a jazz vocalist, percussionist and director of African drum and Afro-Colombian marimba ensembles. Currently, she is teaching in the 92nd Street Y's Musical Introduction Series, teaching piano and voice at the 92nd Street Y School of Music, and teaching piano at The Nightingale-Bamford School. In her spare time, she applauds every musical attempt made by her 3 year old son, Miguel.
